Equipment delivery

Gadgets! Lots of gadgets! I am in heaven!

Seriously, after months of searching for expertise and pondering, procrastinating and planning the heating system, we are thrilled to see the truck pull up with the equipment for the utility room.

First come three big boxes – very big boxes: A 120 gallon domestic hot water storage tank, followed by an 80 gallon hot water storage tank and the boiler. The boiler box is actually remarkably small.

The big boxes are followed by stream of smaller ones that contain an endless amount of manifolds, pipes, pumps, fittings and valves in all sorts of shapes, sizes and forms. I don’t even know what half of the stuff is and I’m glad that I don’t have to keep track of everything that gets unloaded from the truck.

That is Mariusz’s job. Mariusz is our installer and he is trying to keep up with the long delivery list.

With complex deliveries like this, there is always something missing or wrong. In our case, it was the wrong boiler model. Mariusz and his crew couldn’t start with the equipment layout in the utility room until we had the right boiler.

To sweeten the wait, Mickey Raker, our sales representative from Crawford Supply, showed up with a gallon of hot coffee and a box full of donuts.

I like to work with people who know how to keep you and everybody else on the job happy.
